Privacy Policy for Tab Manager

Tab Manager is a browser extension that helps you save and restore groups of tabs, organize open tabs by domain, and find and close duplicate tabs. This page explains exactly what data the extension touches and what it does with it.

What data the extension reads

To provide its features, Tab Manager reads the titles and URLs of your open browser tabs. This is required to:

• save a snapshot of your currently open tabs as a named session,
• reopen those tabs later when you restore a session,
• determine each tab's domain so it can be grouped with other tabs from the same site, and
• compare tab URLs to detect and close duplicates.

Where your data is stored

All data the extension creates — your saved sessions, their names, and the tab titles/URLs within them — is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device through the extension.

What the extension does not do

• It does not send any data to a server. Tab Manager has no backend — there is nothing to send data to.
• It does not use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting of any kind.
• It does not track your browsing activity, behavior, or history.
• It does not share, sell, or transmit tab data, session data, or any other information to any third party.
• It does not require or use a user account.

Data retention and deletion

Saved sessions remain in local storage until you delete them from within the extension, or until you remove the extension entirely, at which point the browser clears its local storage for the extension automatically.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
